Beach bath Lido

The sunbathing lawn is only separated from the sandy beach by a short walk and extends at the same height. Within the Lido area there are also many other quiet places where you can relax. If the water temperatures in the lake are still a bit too cool for swimming, there is a heated swimming pool available. There is also a spacious children’s playground that invites you to linger and play. The playground equipment has been carefully selected and meets the latest educational and safety standards.



The Ufschötti, located just a few minutes south of Lucerne’s main train station, is an idyllic beach spot on Lake Lucerne. Here bathers and sun worshipers will find spacious sunbathing areas with shady trees and a spacious sandy beach. The green areas offer enough space to play football or frisbee or to have a barbecue together, always with consideration for other guests. During the summer season you can get hot and cold snacks and refreshing drinks at the Ufschötti kiosk and in the Ufschötti bar. There are also showers and toilets nearby. Enjoy relaxing hours on this beautiful beach and let yourself be enchanted by the beautiful scenery of Lake Lucerne. Steamship experience

Experience the fascinating shipping on Lake Lucerne and discover 38 kilometers of sea routes, 34 ship stations and a breathtaking landscape. Immerse yourself in the world of shipping and enjoy the incomparable atmosphere. The five restored paddle steamers Uri, Unterwalden, Schiller, Gallia and Stadt Luzern are true treasures of shipping history. They were built between 1901 and 1928 and together form the largest fleet of paddle steamers on an inland lake in the world. Thanks to hourly boat connections, you can get to Flüelen or Alpnachstad, for example, or take part in one of the round trips. In addition, you can expect special trips such as the fondue ship, the cake trip, Valentine’s, music or breakfast trips.

On the steamboat or motorboat, you travel in 1st class (including an accompanying person) from Lucerne to Flüelen and back. The captain shows his wheelhouse and the machinists lead into the belly of the ship. There is also a fine meal at the on-board restaurant – with a view of the Rigi, Pilatus and Stanserhorn.

The fox has laid his tracks and invites you to take part in an exciting adventure. The Foxtrail is an exciting activity where secret messages, hidden clues and technically amazing tasks guide you from station to station. During the trail, you explore the terrain independently, always looking forward to what awaits you next. Even those who know the region will make many new and surprising discoveries. They move around town and country on foot and by various means of transport. The duration of the trails varies between 1.5 and 4.5 hours depending on the route chosen.


Engelberg Rope Park

The Engelberg Rope Park is an exciting outdoor adventure destination. Here visitors can climb high in the trees on various courses and put their skills and endurance to the test. The rope park offers a variety of challenges such as balancing bridges, Nepal footbridges and action-packed tyroliennes that need to be mastered. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced climber, there are different levels of difficulty to suit everyone. Equipped with safety gear, visitors can breathe the high altitude air and experience the thrill of rock climbing in a safe environment.


Golf at Lake Lucerne

The Lake Lucerne region is a paradise for golf enthusiasts, with a multitude of first-class golf courses surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery. Pilatus cable car ride

A cable car ride up Mount Pilatus is an unforgettable destination for adventure seekers and nature lovers. One of the most famous mountains in the region, Mount Pilatus offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. The steepest cog railway in the world runs from Alpnachstad with a maximum gradient of 48 percent through forest, meadows and rock faces. On the north side, a gondola and aerial cableway connects Kriens with the Pilatus Kulm. Once at the top, you can explore the summit region on well-marked hiking trails or do sport on the via ferratas and climbing routes. For those who prefer a more leisurely pace, there are also restaurants and picnic areas to take a break and enjoy the view.


Rigi cable car ride

The cable car ride to the Rigi is a destination for nature lovers and panorama enthusiasts. Known as the “Queen of the Mountains”, the Rigi offers spectacular views of the Swiss Alps and Lake Lucerne. With a breathtaking 360° panoramic view, the Rigi offers a first-class mountain experience for all four seasons. The rack railways from Goldau and Vitznau as well as the cable car from Weggis enable a variety of round trips, also in connection with a boat trip on Lake Lucerne.
